This Privacy Policy explains what personal information MapleSure.ca collects, why, what we do with it, and the rights you have over it. It is written to comply with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
Our principle is minimum collection: we collect only what you voluntarily give us, only when you choose to give it.
We do not collect government identifiers, financial account numbers, health information, or driver's licence numbers, and we will never ask for them.
We identify our purposes at the point of collection and we do not use your information for new purposes without your consent.
We rely on your express consent, given when you submit a form or subscribe. You may withdraw consent at any time (subject to legal or contractual restrictions) by contacting us or using the unsubscribe link present in every email we send, as required by CASL. Withdrawal is processed without delay.
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. Ever. We do not share your information with data brokers or advertisers.
Data may be processed and stored on servers located in Canada or the United States by our service providers; where it leaves Canada it may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction. We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, then delete or anonymize it.
We protect personal information with safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access limitation, and minimal-collection design. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we commit to notifying affected individuals and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada of any breach of security safeguards creating a real risk of significant harm, as PIPEDA requires.
The Site uses no advertising cookies and no third-party tracking scripts at this time. Our tools may use your browser's local storage solely to remember your inputs and language preference on your own device. If we add analytics or advertising in future, this Policy and our consent practices will be updated before it happens.
Under PIPEDA you may: access the personal information we hold about you; request correction of inaccuracies; withdraw consent; and request deletion where retention is no longer required. We respond to written requests within 30 days. If you are unsatisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca).
The Site is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
