Terms & Conditions

Updated August 2026 · Every figure cited to a named source · Written by the MapleSure research team

Please read these Terms carefully. By accessing or using MapleSure.ca (the “Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of them, you must not use the Site.

1. What MapleSure is — and what it is not

MapleSure.ca is an information and education platform that publishes rate information compiled from named third-party sources and provides free self-serve calculators and estimators. MapleSure:

2. Estimates and calculators — information only, never a quote

All outputs of our tools (including the Insurance Estimator and Car Loan Calculator) are mathematical estimates generated from published averages and public rating factors, with every source named on the page where it is used. They are NOT quotes, offers, binding figures, or predictions of any price you will actually be offered. Actual premiums, payments, and rates are set exclusively by licensed insurers, brokers, and lenders based on your individual circumstances, and routinely differ — sometimes substantially — from any estimate. You agree not to rely on any estimate as a basis for any financial decision and to verify all figures directly with a licensed professional before acting.

3. Accuracy, sources, and no warranty

We cite the source and date of every published figure we use. However, third-party data may change, contain errors, or become outdated at any time, and we do not control it. THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT, TOOLS, AND ESTIMATES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, TIMELINESS, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, ALL OF WHICH ARE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

4. Quote requests

Where you voluntarily submit a quote-request form, you direct and authorize MapleSure to forward the information you provide to a licensed insurance brokerage or other licensed professional so they may contact you. MapleSure's role ends at that referral: we are not a party to, and accept no responsibility for, any communication, quotation, contract, product, or service between you and any licensed professional. Their conduct is governed by their own licences, terms, and regulators.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) scrape, harvest, or bulk-download Site content or data; (b) use the Site for any unlawful purpose; (c) misrepresent your identity in any form submission; (d) interfere with the Site's operation or security; (e) reproduce or republish Site content without written permission; or (f) frame or mirror the Site.

6. Intellectual property

The Site, its design, text, tools, code, the MapleSure name and logo are the property of MapleSure.ca and are protected by copyright and trademark law. Third-party names and trademarks referenced on the Site (including insurers, brokerages, and data publishers) belong to their respective owners, are used solely for identification and factual reference, and imply no affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement in either direction.

7. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW: (a) IN NO EVENT WILL MAPLESURE.CA, ITS OWNER, OPERATORS, EMPLOYEES, OR CONTRACTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, SAVINGS, DATA, OR OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE, ANY ESTIMATE, OR ANY REFERRAL, HOWEVER CAUSED AND UNDER ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES; AND (b) OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED CANADIAN DOLLARS (CAD $100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions; in those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the smallest amount permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MapleSure.ca and its owner and operators from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Site, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

9. Third-party links

The Site may link to third-party websites. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Following any link is at your own risk.

10. Changes, suspension, termination

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site, and may amend these Terms, at any time by posting the updated version with a new effective date. Your continued use after posting constitutes acceptance. We may restrict or terminate access for any breach of these Terms.

11. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. You irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Ontario for any dispute relating to the Site or these Terms.

12. General

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Legal Notice, are the entire agreement between you and MapleSure.ca regarding the Site.
